Football or Foot-ball ?

I want to buy a domain name, let's give you an example. The niche is football but football is already occupied as a domain name

Lucky enough, foot-ball c o- m is still available

Let's say the word ''football" (not foot-ball) receives 22,000 monthly exact hits in Google.

Would I be able to rank foot-ball c.o -m on the 1st page ? Or will google not recognize foot-ball as 2 words? Because this term only receives 800 exact monthly hits...

Can anyone please give me some advice on this?

Would foot-ball rank amongs the other domain names like football and footballmatch c.o -m or would google not count it in because of the - hyphen ?
