Here is a collection of all of the rumors I have heard via boards, groups, at conferences, or at social media cons over the last month:
1. Blogs are going to be entirely devalued and will not boost backlinks/pyramids
2. The G Devalue Tool will allow to see if a single person created certain backlinks, and if so, it can devalue all links created by that person
3. Searches will filter through social networking sites before the web crawl results.
4. Searches will only pick up sites talked about by social media, and there will be a second function for sites that just exist on the web based on keyword and informational merit, creating a system where google has a 'dual search'.
5. You will have the option of searching for sites with fewer backlinks vs more backlinks, or the choice will be made for you. Sites with thousands and thousands of backlinks from single domains will get penalized, even if those backlinks are quality content.
6. Geotargeted backlinks will impact basic search, meaning, if your site is based in the US and all of your backlinks are international, it may drop its results.
7. The G Devalue tool will allow you to remove spammy backlinks but will also give you a temporary penalty from using it.
8. If G determines you are using multiple webmaster tools from other SE's, ala Bing Webmaster Tools, etc, it can give you some sort of warning or devalue your ranking/GWMTs experience stating that 'it cannot receive correct data due to the presence of a competing service' ( I have heard like 3 separate people state this so far, anyone hearing this??)
Thats all of the rumors I can think of so far, list what you have heard...
