301 redirect in while doing a Seo camping.

Im building some kind of an "authority"site, the current domain that i own, got a couple backlink on it, aged 3 year old+, pr2, perfect for start building up a site, im currently in the middle of making a backlink campaign ( i havent start it yet, making property etc). The problem is that this domain is hardly easy to remember, so i thought about 301 redirect to a new and more branded domain.
The cuestion is, should i 301 redirect now before starting the campaign, or wait till i get some results and the site get stablish then do the 301?.
