Backlink method, will it work?

Ok so for example, i'm registered to bhw. The background to this forum is black, so what if I took a small piece of the background uploaded it to photo bucket. Than I placed the img in a random post using [img] tags [/img] And what if I was to make that image lead to my website.

Would this work as a back link. Can it do anything to my SEO?

I did this on another large hacking forum and i'm wondering if the back link goes through.
