Ok everyone, I am going to explain to all of you the downfalls in "doing the right thing". When I started in affiliate marketing I was against so called "black hat" techniques. I always said that I wanted to do the "right thing" in order to build my reputation and make it big. I started in Facebook when people though it was just "a fad" .
After spending over 250,000 in facebook promoting my apps and pages fbook decided to change their terms on how apps worked. I was making good money. Real good money but I knew, or thought, I had to reinvest that money back in to grow even more. So I did, and after the updates to agreements I got the total screw. Which brings me to my second point. Affiliate Networks. You may think that your AM is your friend while you are making money but I can tell you from experience that I had networks begging me for traffic at one point. When I hit hard times things changed. They changed dramatically.
Now I am starting to do better again but this time I realized I would never reveal my traffic sources again with my affiliate managers or the networks. Example. One day, when I had an ad running they told me the advertiser needed to see the ad so that I can keep running the offer. I was making about 4000.00 a day with the ad so i said sure. (That was f@cking stupid) 1 damn week later I received an email from the network on my other account showing my ad and telling their top affiliates that they needed to run the offer and showed my ad as an example. WTF?!
Oh and they say if there is not pics it isn't true so I have attached my stats from one of the networks that don't exist anymore. I can't post the networks i still work with because of stupid terms but what i will tell you is that these stats of 300,000.00 plus was my second lowest network.
Why am I saying all this?? Because I don't want anyone else to get the wrong idea about "so called" black hat methods. They are used by all the big players in the industry including retail chains like JC Penny, Amazon, Pinterest, and others. If you want respect in the business you just need to make money. Period. I won't go to any more ass kissing affiliate summits or ad techs. They all lie to your face. Trust me they do. So I am doing better now and I will rebuild the empire I lost and I thank Black hat World for opening my eyes once and for all.
