disavow google tool really works or i think

I created a website 2 month ago, and made some spammy links, 2 weeks ago disappeared to not in top1000, and submitted 2 days ago some links in Disavow tool, and this morning my website regain position, I dont think 100% is from the tool. Made some seo for few weeks.
What you think?
